We continue our journey through the heart of the desert, crossing extensive plains and rivers of sand, as well as the complicated ‘fesh-fesh’ areas near Ramlia. On our way we will discover the mysterious ‘Lost City’ and the Ouzina dunes, places that were once key points of the Dakar. Our journey will finally take us to Erg Chebbi, the most impressive erg in the country. It extends approximately 28 kilometres from north to south and 5 km wide. The Erg Chebbi dunes reach heights of up to 150 metres, adding even more spectacular character to this already impressive landscape.
